Thursday July 9
We had a beautiful fifth-to-last-day here.
Eidah Daled left super early for the traditional Eidah daled Post-color war White water rafting trip 🙂
Meanwhile for everyone else today was an awesome day of peulot as campers got back into the routine of a “regular” day of camp after two days of color war. We continued to learn about pre-State Israel and in particular the culture in Israel and the role of American Jewry.
The last Thursday of camp generally features a crowd favorite bouncy castle peula, during which Indoor World is filled with different blow up carnival amusements and each eidah has an opportunity to go enjoy!
Later in the day, we had yet another exciting breakout… Splash Lagoon (an indoor water park)!!!! Dinner was early and then the buses pulled out. Boys play arcade games while girls slide, swim and splash and then the genders switch. Late night return means a little bit of a later kima and shorter hikes for each eidah.
Machal– We were so excited to greet Machal as they returned from their week long canoeing trip. Machal in great spirits (although a little dirty) and were treated to a celebratory barbeque for their major accomplishment of canoeing 60 miles over the week!
We are so excited for our fourth (fifth, for tzevet) Shabbat together and know the Kabbalat Shabbat, singing and dancing will be the best yet!
